Help with listening to music remotely

Duo2NewGuy

Vu+ Newbie
I have a VU+Duo2, Open Blackhole v0.1, Astra 28.2e,
2 x DVB-S2 & 1 x DVB-T

I have a lot of music on my PC, about 3gb of it, which I’d love to be able to listen to when I’m away from home. I don’t want to store music on my phone or PC anymore.

I can remotely stream (transcode) movies via openwebif (ports 80, 8001 & 8002 are open)

Ideally I’d like to store the music, securely, on the VU+Duo2 somewhere.
Would VLC android app be able to do what I want or what else would you suggest.
Any other ports need opening ??
Can anyone help / advise me to set this up ??

It's not a good idea ;) When you say "when I’m away from home", you mean "listen from anywhere"? There are very many skilful people on the internet, which are scanning for streaming addresses and ports and very soon you will get a message "no free tuner", when you connect your STB - leechers will occupe your STB :) You can change the streaming ports, but it will help only for 2 or 3 days. Only if you know IPs, from which you'll listen your music, you can configure everything OK with no headache
