i clicked on software update on my vu+solo and now after doing the update it dosent even turn on just red light.
 
Please tell us if that was the first update of your box, and which image and version you were running before updating.
Chances are that you tried to update a clone Solo and that is the resulting effect...

yes first update i tried and was running black hole not sure of version as cant check now box wont turn on
 
Before attempting any solution you should be sure that your box is not a clone!
Please refer to the seller for this information and in case it's a clone then ask them how to solve your problem.

Please consider that the Black Hole community doesn't support clones in any way.
