How can I put an USB Drive on my SOLO in IDLE mode ?

Niether the "put hd in sleep mode after X minutes" nor "the put in sleep mode now " option operates on my vu+ solo.
I guess it s meant for internal HDDs on DUo devices and not USB HDDs.

So is there a way to have my hd switched off when not used.
Even when my solo is Idle the HDD isn't.

I'm talking about an USB HD of course !!! And a VTI 3.2 image.

I don't know for Vti, but with BH you can set standby in blue panel.
