How can I stream my VU+ DUO box channels to my laptop using VLC?

bunderson

Vu+ Newbie
I've tried and failed :( I did manage to get dreamstream to work but having serious lagging issues with it, even though it's connected to my laptop via 100MB Ethernet. Someone mentioned VLC player but can't find a guide. Can anyone point me to one or give me a hand? I need to know everything from step 1. Including anything I need to configure on the VU+ as well as what I need to do on my laptop.

Many thanks

With bh images you can use openwebif or tuner server ... I think both systems can be used with black pole images too

On your laptop install VLC, then connect to the openwebif of your Vu, select bouquets ---> channel ---> and the stream's icon on the left of the channel.
It opens the VLC player and then the streaming tu your laptop.

I use this way with Ultimo and Uno to my pc and tablet.

Another way is enable tuner server on VU and use it always with VLC.
