How to change my default Photo and music folder to HDD?

I wish to change my photo and music folders to my internal HDD which is only for recording media currently.

Question 1.

If I create a new photo forlder in the HDD, then mount the folder to HDD, what will be happed if there are some photos already in the original photo folder?

Question 2.

In order to simplified the structure, should I perminently move the original photo folder to the HDD? How to do it.

Question 3

Would any one offer some basic media management methods which I can move the original location to my HDD without cause too many trouble when I upgrade a new image?
