I have searched before asking and in general I was hoping to keep all my settings like *****, cables.xml´s etc by taking a "backup" > upgrading by memstick > and restoring backup.
I can´t seem to find the easiest way to do this. I have taken a "complete backup to harddisk" but failed to backup complete to USB even though the stick is formatted by Vu+ and assigned to /dev/usb. The message "can´t find a mem stick" just shows up.
Can someone please answer a newbee this:
A. Is it possible to safely upgrade and reading back all channels, settings, etc. or do I have to install everything "once more"
B. A step by step is highly appriciated.
