This tutorial Aims to show in a easy to understand .pdf file how to flash your new Vu+ Duo2 receiver via USB, you will need a .pdf reader to open and read this tutorial and i highly recommend the free foxit .pdf reader for this job.

Hi,

My Duo2 has just arrived and i have installed OPENATV. I now want to try black hole however when i insert the USB stick to update it does nothing. I have restored to factory settings but it does nothing really. I have tried installing from withing the settings and i get a green screen and it restarts.

Any advice welcomed. SHould i stick with Oenstv or is Black hole better? i am after a clean GUI which is easy to use and similar to sky so the kids and other half are able to relate to it.

I think it has already been updated to the Bootloader V2

Have a look here: How to update Vu+ images
However, if you have any usb devices connected to receiver, disconnect them before to install the new image.

I will give it a go. After lots of playing I got it installed from within the OpenAtv ui. They didn't make that option easy to find!

Now I've been tinkering and want to reinstall the Bh image because I've messed a few things up. When it says restore to factory settings, that's not quite what it means.

I will keep playing and may finally get the result I want. Any other tips great fully appreciated

Hi,

I am quite new I have just bought a Vu+ Solo 2 and wonder how I get started. The unit did not come with a hard disk so I have purchased that separately. Any help will must be appreciated

When i flash latest 2.1.3 into my Duo2 i was hoping for a fresh install, but all of my old plugins/addons is still there.
I like to get rid of the installed shit and start from a fresh and unspoiled area.

So my question is:
How do i make my box forget everything and become a virgin again?

During a full flash via USB all flash content is wiped.
If you get all of your datas there are two reasons:
1. you have used a backup of your image or a backup in general
2. you have made a backup with your box and during first setup you have restored it
