How to play IPTV streams with rtmp extensions

I have recently installed OBH v4.3 moving from BH v3.0.9 . Trying to play an http stream that has an rtmp extension.
This doesn't work currently. Any ideas on how I can get that working?
The stream looks like : http%3a//some.url.xyz/userID/password/123456.rtmp
I can play it in VLC in windows.
Tried using ServiceApp with either gstplayer or extepalyer3 and changing the url to use 4097 or 5002 (for exteplayer3) but with no luck.
Any idea on how I can resolve this?
