How to record a show that is currently paused (timeshifting)

Hi all,

Two hours ago, I've started watching a show then I hit pause.
Now the show is over, but it is still paused. So I can still watch it.
But it's too late now and I'd like to record what is currently stored "somewhere" for the pause.

Is that possible?

Timeshift is stored where you decide. (media/HDD/movie in my case). I'm not sure, if it's possible to FTP it PC during Pause or if it remains on HDD after pushing Stop, I can check this evening.
To avoid these problems, I'm using Record button instead of timeshift.
 
The timeshift file is stored at the root of my hdd.
Since the file keeps growing and since it is quite large, I don't think one can copy it while it is still being written.
When you push stop, the file vanishes.

I will use the record button from now on...

I use button record instead time shift, however it would not hurt you in the end you could record permanently a time shift where is not possibile look immediately
