How to update drivers?

I swear I searched the forum, but couldn't find help there, so I'm asking (and sorry if it's a faq) how to update the drivers with the new ones I just downloaded

Driver path: /lib/modules/2.6.18-7.3/extra

The driver update process is simple but made with care.
You should make a backup copy of current drivers to avoid image stop working after new drivers are installed into system.

To install new drivers:
1. download driver package
2. unpack it
3. place files into driver path
4. reboot your box
