I really need tuner configuration?

I have a solo 2, I'm in kenya and I really don't care to watch satellite channels from a provider here, can I skip the tuner configuration and consequently scanning of sat? I'm using iptv only...I'm asking that because of time zone. And I would like to try this immage hoping that I can skip that step. I'm from OPENATV this image doesn't have ntp option. The reason I'm asking this is because my epg is one hour behind.
