Ok am gonna give Black Hole a try for the first time ever have heard good things about it. But my question is I currently have another image (openvix) installed on my VU+ Duo2 and wanted to know is there any need to get rid of this image first or can I just flash the black hole image over it? Because I did read a very very long time ago on a forum that it's better to flash with the default image first which I understand is the VTI image then flash it with any other image? don't know if this is true or not?
 
No this is no true.
You mast only normal flash image copy image BH to usb stick and flash.
Old image will be delete and Bh will be instaled automaticly.
