i noticed that this: Improve media playback.
was added to the specifics of the new image.

but does anyone know what has been changed?

Usually Vu+ has improoved media playback with bugfixing codecs and adding (eventually) some internal features and/or compatibility.
 
I flash the new image yesterday. And i have the same Problem playback movie files from NAS and my Aspect Ratio is wrong. Any solution?
 
Did you try to change aspect ratio via menu sistem-config?
Or you can try to install aspect ratio switch plugin that you can find on server.
