Improving a great sat box

Hi,
If coders read this forum here is an idea:

I used to own an EchoStar 5500 sat box. This box had 2 very good features I wish were on my Vu+ Duo2.

1) If I wanted to block black screen subscription channels all I had to do was to enter on the remote 00 (zero zero) I no longer had to wade through loads of useless channels. If I wanted them back I would repeat 00 from the menu list and they come back.

2) I use a motorised system from 28E to 30W. On the EchoStar when I changed satellites the dish would go to the required slot, stop and then peak east, west to obtain the strongest signal. This is a great feature if you are looking for weak news feeds.

So coders show us what you can do, make a good sat box a very good sat box. I am sure others would appreciate these features.

I don't hold a lot of hope that anyone will take any notice but can always hope!!!

Comments welcome.

1) Using one or more favorites bouquets you can include there only the channels you are really interested in.

Hi
Agreed, but I like to scan though all open channels. A lot of feeds change often and to have to wade through loads of scrambled channels wastes a lot of valuable hunting time looking for one offs that maybe only transmitting for 2/3 minutes. Favourites bouquets are great for storing regular viewing channels and I do use but no good for feed hunting.
