Hi folks,
i'm just migrated my Solo2 from OpenPli to newest BH hoping this enigma2 build be less buggy. Migrated together with internal HDD formated in ext4. My box works also as small NAS at home so have many files on it.
All is fine, I can play movies from hdd, browse through the directories, samba sharing under BH... except one thing- recording/timeshift. Getting message that HDD not found or not initialized. I'm not sure what will happen when I press "initialize" in system menu? I'm afraid of lose all my data on hdd if BH start formatting it.
What would you recommend?
P.S. the way of backing up all hdd would be the last...
If you press initialise it will indeed format your HDD. If its already in ext4 can't you just mount the HDD using blue button x2 presses.... Mountpounts ( think its red button) and mount it as HDD in the BH menu?
Once you press red mount points go to your hard drive press the right ot left select buttons until it displayed /media/HDD then press red to save this will then reboot the receiver to configure this mount
Worth checking that the recording and time shift paths are actually set to /media/hdd and not something else, as you say you can access your hdd fine and watch previously stored content etc ok.
problem solved.. dont know how, after multiple tries, but I was able to set up mount points in menu and then recording started working, recording paths appeared.
