Are you sure? I could not see the ServiceApp settings anywhere after a clean install of OBH 5.1. Only after installing from OBH Feeds/systemplugins was I able to see the settings for ServiceApp. This was the same behaviour as OBH 5.0 and previous. What exactly do you mean by 'embedded'?
 
Formally you can't see among the plugins, that's why you can't see any configurations. But, from some debug logs I saw it invoked, as some routines were already running.
But embedded doesn't mean you don't need to install: if you want to try if it changes your situation, you need to install it normally.

Menu > Plugins > Download > System Plugins > Drop down on the list ...

Install ServiceApp version 0.5

After Installing it > Restart your STB.

After booting >

Menu > Setup > System > Drop down on the list > choose SERVICEapp ... and set it!
