Is vu+ official image meant for daily use ?

Vu+ Newbie
Hi guys,
I have installed vu+ official image 3.0 installed on my vu+ solo 4K.
I have had 2 issues with it so far :
1. Seems its satellite list is outdated ! the satellite on 26E is named "Badr 4/5/6" but it shows it as "Arabsat 2A/3A" ! I believe the TP list can be outdated as well !
2. Although I have set my timezone correctly in settings, it always shows UTC time on LCD and on TV ! but when I want to add a timer, I should use my local time !

Is the official image that garbage ?
Can you recommend me a good minimal image for my STB ?

Thank you for your replies.
I basically use my STB remotely from my PC to watch live streams or record programs and watch later on my PC.
I even do not have a TV connected to it :D
So I dont care that much about functions which are not available remotely.
I prefer a lightweight image which is very stable and works properly.
Any recommendations ?

Most images start off as what you describe as "lightweight", or at least you can configure them that way, during setup.
You then add various plugins, that you want to use, like Kodi, etc..
I've currently switched, from Blackhole, which was extremely stable, to Open Blackhole, which has Kodi v17.3 Krypton.
Seeing as you are only using your PC you can run Kodi on your PC, and just use the basic Blackhole image.
