Vu+ Newbie
Hello,
I'm a newbie in Sat World ...
I begin with a VU+ Duo 2 receiver, and an parabolic antenna with 3 heads, pointed on Astra 19°2, hotbird, ...

But :
Awful !

That seems very difficult to deal, even with simple things :
- Finding "interesting" channels and recording them on favorites
- understanding how to receive free french tnt channels, which seems to require a TNTSAT card ? ...
- ... And a lot of other things : What is Black Hole ? for exemple.

Many thanks for your help, ... Expecting being able toi help you in return.

Blackhole is an image, think of it like a Linux operating system, on a PC.
Favourites have been replaced with Bouquets, in Linux receivers, and you can set up numerous Boquets, to suit your needs.
Satellite channels can be FTA, Free To Air, no encryption, Free To View, soft encryption which requires a card, some of these channels also switch between FTA, and encrypted, or fully encrytped.
You can use sites like lyngsat, to check which channels are available, on any satellite:
Code:

Hello Mick,
And thanks for your help.

Unfortuinatly, i still have difficulties with my VU+ Duo 2 :
1) I don't know how to deal with images ..., and what image to choose.
(and after how to install them2)
2) I don't see how to receive FREE french TNTSAT : I've read the new TNTSAT (HD) card does'nt work with VU* decoder ...

Best regards, /
