Kodi will not play anything

I am using obh 4.4 023 on a VUDUO + 4k. I installed Kodi from the Black hole speed up menu, when I start Kodi from the plugin menu it all looks fine and the setup all seems to work ok, I link it to my NAS via NFS and it shows my files ok, but if I try to play a file, be it an XVID, MP$, MKV, 264 or 265 it will not play it, it shows the play screen but there is no video or sound?
