There is 015 which is much better. But in any case do not update any version, always stopping during starting enigma.

If you want help, post your crashlogs or a screenshot from telnet showing what stops your box from booting.

wake up this morning and turn on my vu+zero box and the front light keep flashing in white, and the internet lights at the back is flashing green and yellow.try reflashing using different usb stick with no luck.the image i have on is openvix 5.3016. cannot telnet ,ssh filezilla nothing.is there a way where i can save the box?pulling all my hair on my head right now

Yes, it works. I used telnet command for update.

opkg update && opkg upgrade

It is not possible to update image neither gui nor telnet.
This I got through telnet
Collected errors:
