Hi guys i could really do with some help with my vu+solo everything was working cool then my friend decided to set up streaming but i couldnt get it going so i reinstalled blackhole think its 1.7.2 cat eyes now i cant use my hdd at all when i try to change the recording paths in menu it says please make the directory writtable so i have logged back in via ftp and tried changing permissions of the folder but it refuses to save the changes and then it will not work for me i been trying for 2 days now please can some 1 help me and thanks
 
yeah i did that but then when i open ftp to put the folder named movies inside like the post on this forum says it lets me make a folder but the permissions are not right and i cannot change them so when i try change the reciording paths it will not let me change it at all i cant really understand it cause when i 1st got the box it went on fine this time not and all the stuff is the same im real lost thanks
 
Normally when you properly mount your disk, a folder /movie is created. What is now the structure of your hard disk ? (which folders do you have in it) ?

Also, give a look at /etc/fstab with your ftp

Tell us what you have in fstab.
 
Guys thanks i fixed it what it was when u go into menu and go to recording paths u go to the default 1 to enter then i had to change to filelist and direct it to the folder now it all works i feel such a noob now for not reading the post correctly thanks for help
