Losing DVB-C services on Solo4k

Are you sure you don't have installed any plugins for automatic or precompiled settings? Have you tried to install a fresh (and clean image) without any plugins which might be interfering?
Well, I have a Favourites list which contains DVB-C and S services and only the cable services disappear.
S services are indeed updated by vhannibal auto settings but it should not have any inpact as this list is set as « do not touch ».
The installation is quite clean has it only has vhannibal auto settings and timeshift.
Anyway il will give a try with auto update disabled.

ONLY Vhannibal? As I said many times, YOU USERS believe that this plugin is just an innocuous way of having precompiled channels BUT IT'S NOT SO: it also changes some important files related to settings!
I bet that if you uninstall Vhannibal, you won't have any "strange" issues any longer. You are not the first victim of this useless and invasive precompiled settings (whatever is the author). Let your decoder do what is its first technical ability: SCANNING channels. Do you have 5 minutes of your life to have a perfect decoder?

Sorry, but I really don't understand this big issue that many users have. When I started using my first VU+, I used a software that easily manages channels and bouquets.
You can use software like iDreamX for Mac or Dreamboxedit for windows or the OpenwebInterface itself with its Bouquet editor.
After that, if I want a new channel added to one of my bouquets, I do a manual scan only of that frequency/transponder and I add it to the desired bouquet. That's all. I don't do a complete scan every day! And I don't think you'll need to do that every day.
In case, every 6 months or so, I do a complete scan (with the useful option of deleting the current setting, because this does not affects my bouquets), while I'm doing something else or so, and so I have an updated list of channels. As simple as that.
If a channel previously included in one of my bouquets, is no longer available, I simply see a <n/a> in its place and I delete it.
But THE BOX IS MINE, not of someone else. IT'S ME WHO DECIDES how I want to organise my channels! Once I wanted to try, just for curiosity (and because I didn't know how annoying were this plugins) install one of them (can you guess which one?) it completeley ruined my lists and my bouquets. Obviously, having them saved on my computer, in a matter of seconds I was able to restore them and the system files I had before the earthquake caused by the plugin.
Anyway, if you want your settings ruined by the will of someone else, you can go on with these precompiled settings. But you have a very powerful device in your hands: don't use it as an amateur (only a personal, friendly advice, though!).

But, I cannot see how this plugin would “delete” my cable services.

The plugin AFFECTS not only the list of channels and the bouquet (that's a stupid thing, after all), but also and above all some system files WITHOUT WHOM the list of channels mean NOTHING. And in fact, you have the <n/a>.
Files like "lamedb" and satellites.xml are the REALLY important files, not the passive list of channels. That's why I dislike this plugins.
But, sorry: why don't you do just a try? Save your situation of the channels (just to be sure) by one of the methods said, uninstall the plugin and try for some days. You can reinstall the plugin afterwards if the problem occurs again.
I don't think you'll die if you can't update the channels for a couple of week! What you have now is safe even if you uninstall the plugin. Only, it won't be updated every day or so. Is it that important???

Then I did an automatic scan on sat and cable tuners.
Sadly, all channels are not found while using the frequency analysis on cable tuner. I had to do a kind of “brute force” on all frequencies to find the channels.
As I said in the begin of this post, I like the way channels are organised with Vhannibal settings.
So I downloaded the latest file on my computer and copied the *.tv files in /etc/enigma2 then edited the lamedb file and added the .tv files it has to take count of.
Is it something you would consider as “ok”?
Btw, what does “erase before analyse” in the automatic scan menu mean?

If a stranger comes in my house, messing around, touching my things... no, it's not OK for me and I don't want him. I'm the only proprietor of my box. But if you are happy and feel comfortable with this fantastic plugin, accept every consequences.
I've never had the need of tiding what this stranger gets messy, so I don't know what you had to do with lamedb.

So, if you delete your list of channels and then rebuild it by a scan, you don't touch your bouquets: if the channels withim them are re-added by the scan, you won't notice anything different.
If some channels are not found any longer, it'll result in some <n/a> in your bouquets.
