Network problem

Dear all,
My Vu+Duo works fine under BH 1.7.2. My wireless network, via USB wifi, is fine but as I have a poor signal quality I decide to switch to wired network. My connexion cable works correctly on my laptop but when I configure my Vu+Duo to use LAN interface the test doesn't pass the DNS even if I enter its IP address manually.
I will be thankful for your kind help

You have make reboot before test and after IP change ??

that maybe so but it was bought as an original so will talk to vendor

Of course, you first need to try to re-install image and test.
Install again CLEAN IMAGE.

is there any way of telling whether or not a box is original?

after resetting box got network going again........still not happy with hdd crashes and will have a word with vendor............box only a few months old
