Hi,

I've been informed by my Internet service provider that there are large data of uploads being uploaded from my VU box. However i am only sharing from others. Is there a way how to create a barrier and stop anyone who is uploading from my box? Because this is causing me that my Internet service is disconnecting and i am exceeding the upload limit that i have, which means that my Internet service provider has to stop giving service to me.

I would appreciate any type of help if i could have a secure network by depriving others from uploading from my box.

First of all disable all kind of port forwarding from your router related to your box and next enable and configure firewall on your router.
 
i don't have a router. All i have is a wireless modem that is provided by my Internet service provider..............

Uhm ... I suppose you have a private network segment in your home (192.168.x.y OR 10.x.y.z OR 172.16.x.y). If this is your situation, the appliance provided by your ISP is a router.
 
so, from this wireless modem provided by my Internet service provider, i could connect with my desired devices at home. So in this case what do you suggest?
 
HI, i have checked with my service provider and was told that the modem is open and without restrictions. He suggested to control the upload limit from the vu box. Is this possible to do?
 
Change password on your vu box, disable all "Nat" from external to Internal.
to limite upload use "QOS" quality of server on your modem
