New to satellite

Hi,

i am new to satellite and i was wondering which box should i get the solo2 or the duo2.

basically i want a box that is like the sky+hd box

bought my sky subscription a month ago and i have just cancelled my sky subscription today and i was wondering do i need a sky subscription again?? for these boxes to work?

also what is the best firmware to flash these boxes?
