NEW TO VU

Hi all new to this site after nine years of my spiderboxes now moved up in class to vu+due2 I live in alexandria west Dunbartonshire in Scotland have had satellite receivers for twenty years my first was a montery going back now. now will have to set this box up and see what happens.

You are welcome in VU+ world. I don't know the decoders you mentioned but, if they weren't linux set top boxes, you need to be patient and get acquainted with this one and with its images step by step. Linux STBs are more like computers with their operative systems than STBs.
But you'll be very satisfied with it, in the end, I promise you!
What images are you using at the moment, the VU+ original? Usually I recommended BlackHole (BH) as a starting point because it was stable and consolidated and also introductory. But now that also OpenBlack Hole has got to a certain maturity, you could start directly from it.
