Hi ev1 seeing no 1 can answer my question on the original site for vu about my issue ref. password change and telnet disconnecting !! i took my receiver back to my supplier today and swopped it out for another !! Reflashed my new receiver with bh 1.7.3 and set up as the same as other !! perfect with DEFAULT PASSWORD !! as soon as i changed password the same AGAIN !! WHAT IS THE PROBLEM PLS VU TEAM ????
 
What do you mean the default password ?? When you login the first time, there is no default password, it is blank.

When you type passwd and change the password, telnet should give you the message that the password has been changed, but it does not log you out, unless you exit, or reboot the box.

hi m8 yes thats right ... and why i state the default passwd!! on 2 receivers now have had same problem with doing it through dcc and putty ? HELP lol pls
