Hi, i am trying to set up a Vu+ Duo. i have BH installed and have just done a scan. i have the bouquets set up and i can see all the available channels, but when i select one, i get the information panel at the bottom of the screen for a few seconds, then the screen goes black. what's missing?

What channel do you have selected and in what satellite?
FTA is the acronym of Free To Air .... and you don't need any CAM/card to see them.

i bought my Duo four months ago and a friend flashed it for me and also installed his own bouquets, and i could get all sky movies and sports etc, but the other night i got a message on my screen about some missing or corrupt file. typically, my friend is in the states and i don't want to bother him so i am trying to do it myself. i have not got a smart card so i am at a loss.

Probably you have used a sort of "emulation" to see your channels.
For this reason I must ban you from this board for 7 days.
