One channel won't work? Why?

Vu+ Newbie
I have had my Vu+ Duo for about a month.

I have one particular channel I just can't seem to view. I have tried rescanning the receiver and it makes no difference. I have attempted to manually tune the receiver and it makes no difference. For the first two weeks or so I could view this channel and I can receive all the other channels in that mux, so it can't be a bad signal and I have no problems with other channels.

The channel is the one I probably watch the most, could I have somehow accidentally locked it out? I checked the parental controls and they are not in force, but could I have done something else?

Any help would be most appreciated.

what channel / satellite and what is the frequency?

The channel is National Geographic Channel HD (known as Nat Geo HD on the EPG) at: 28.2E Eutelsat 28A 12090 V 29500 3/4.

I am absolutely certain this is nothing to do with the strength of the signal, as I receive all other channels fine, including others on the same mux. It must be some sort of software/settings issue.

I am not asking the same thing. I am asking something quite different. Before I was asking if there was a problem with the broadcast, whereas now I know the issue is with my set up. Surely part of the purpose of the forum is technical assistance. I am specifically asking for help with my Vu+ box. Which rule have I broken? Where do you suggest I look for help?

Nat Geo HD channel on Astra 2A at 28,2E TP 20, frequency 12090 MHz V is a Sky UK crypted channel.

Forum Rules Point 3) and 4)
3) Avoid degenerate discussions or actions not related to the topic, also avoid open
discussions already treated.

4) Discussions regarding, pedophilia, pornography, piracy (keys, emulators, card sharing,
softcams, serial, crack warez) and to any debate illegal under existing laws are not allowed.
Recall also that it is illegal to reproduce your subscription to any Sky decoder IC that
has not paid the royaltes to NDS Group plc.

I haven't mentioned anything to do with anything "illegal". The channel itself is completely irrelevant to the enquiry, in fact I didn't even mention which channel it was until someone asked. Would you like me to start the thread again and say the channel in question is the BBC? Would that be OK?

The channel you mention is not irrelevant as it can NOT be viewed using any equipment other than an original STB from Sky UK.

So the facts are the thread is totally irrelevant but you have not broken any rules, the problems arise when a thread like this descends into a discussion which ultimately will lead to rules being broken.

If you have no issue with any other channel then I see no reason to leave this thread open, if you have issues with another channel then feel free to start a new thread.
