"Pause" keeps recording

Say I am watching something and the event ends in 15 minutes. If I press PAUSE and come back, say after 1 hour I can see that it is still recording even though the event has ended, so it keeps recording what comes after it as well.

Is this normal, or something is wrong? Obviously if I press PAUSE I want it to keep recording only until the current programme is finished.

The behavior is regular.
When you press the pause button, you activate the timeshift feature.
If you want to record the event you are watching, you have to press the record button and to select the option "record the current event".
Then you can press the pause button... ;)
