Picons don't show.
I downloaded Licher picons to /media/usb/picon.
I also enabled the use of LCD picons in OSD settings but this setting is not saved. When I push the red button and later return to the OSD menu the setting is disabled again!!
Does this mean that BH doesn't find the picon folder?
Where in black Hole do I define the place to look for picons?
You are confusing picons with LCD picons.
Picons are showed into infobar, while LCD picons are showed on VFD display.
Moreover, LCD picons works only Vu+ Ultimo.
If you have an Ultimo and want to use LCD picons, you have to download the picons whose name start with LCD Picons.

Thanks for the clarification Mito.
But do I have to specify the picon folder location somewhere? I now have them on /media/usb/picon but can not get them displayed.

You can't display them because they are simply picons, not LCD picons.

Mito,
Sorry that I might still confused. But I have a UNO and want the picons in the infobar. So I don't want the LCD picons.
I downloaded Licher picons to a usb stick in (picon folder) but the system doesn't show them. That's why I asked if the location has to be specified somewhere or if per default the system assumes to find them on the usb stick.
Does it depend on the skin? I'm using BlackShadow3.

There is no problem with the skin you are using, maybe there are no picons for the channels you are watching.
You can try to download another picons package by Addons Server and be careful to choice of the satellite package.

Mito,
Thanks for your patience.
I indeed tried with another skin and that doesn't matter.
Can it be that it has to do with the fact that I on DVB-C and not on a satellite dish? The icons I need for my channels are in the downloaded package. The names of the picons seem to correspond with the names of the services as well.
Do I have to make a symbolic link to /usr/share/enigma2/picon or does enigma looks in /media/usb/picon per default?
