When me or my wife finish watching programmes on TV with the Vu+ Solo, we press the power button on the remote which puts the receiver on standby and then unplug the lead from the socket, is this the correct way?

Put it in Deep Standby (Shutdown in Power Menu) and next unplug from mains.

Thanks, I'll put it in Deep Standby next time and then unplug from mains, shame that Helios 17 don't have Shutdown option

Helios 17 is actually OpenVix and not BH, but anyway it too has Deep Standby (which means shutdown).

And for the original Vu+ Solo there is no need to unplug from mains as there is a power button in the rear panel of the box...

Vu+Solo 1st generation box doesen't have a power button on the bax. Solo2 has it.

Thanks for your reply Eragon ... but I'm sure the Solo1 has no power supply button ......
