problem BH2.1.7 + HDD + Weather Plug-in + most skins

I've been playing this PM and found that with a combination of virtually any skin and BH2.1.7 if I have at the same time an HDD in the receiver (VU+DUO) and I download Rytech sky UK EPG it'll crash the box - If I use the fix skin for BH2.1.7 it Rytech is OK but then the Weather Plug-in doesn't fill the screen

any ideas which Skin (if any) lets Rytech work and the Weather Plug-in fill the screen or is the fix skin the only skin that can be used with BH2.1.7

If there is No HDD in the receiver (or it's unplugged) then there isn't a problem

I do not believe that the cause of your problem is skin .
Skin fix on the server refer only to the HDD initialisation BUG and not to EPG problems you have.

I do not know where you download your EPG
USB or HDD.
Make sure you have enough space on USB/HDD and flash
and also if HDD or USB is well mounted

Of course, this applies only if you have tested with the skins from our image server.
With BH skins.

The HDD is virtually empty - new and initialized
I'm downloading the Rytec EPG from the default location
at this site /uk/rytec/uk/epg.dat.gz
- and this definitely works because If I use the fix skin or remove the HDD it works fine
the fix skin would be fine but when I go to the weather forecast - it doesn't fill the screen
so this is fixed by most of the other skins - but then Rytec crashes the box but ONLY if the HDD is connected
I've changed the drive and it's just the same and I tried on two different VU+DUO
I'm thinking about going back to 2.1.6
all the skins are ONLY from your server

Unfortunately I still think that it is some other reason.
Have you tried to record on HDD ?
Do you have a image crash ?
Have you tried to install again image ?
Otherwise, I do not know the cause of the problem.

there is nothing wrong with the drive but after changing the Skin it wouldn't work
I reverted back to the Fix Skin and and I had to initialized the drive (again)
and now it can be used to record (again)
Rytec also downloads
but the wait please message while Rytec EPG is loading is half way up the screen - not large and at the bottom
but it works (good)
the Weather app works but is small filling only about a 1/4 of the screen but is central

Which skin you have tried and not work ?

You can try skins from BH image server with (Format 1280 x 720) in skin name.

I tried MX_HD5 (Format 1280 x 720) and a few others but always this fixes the Weather prob but creates the HDD issue
