Problem using Putty

Vu+ Newbie
Trying to connect to my vu+duo2 using telnet.I have enabled telnet client in windows 10 but when i try to use putty it lets me enter username - root but i cannot enter a password,the little green cursor just stays where it is.If i then click ok i get a login error message.Any help would be great thanks.
 
If you have good installed putty he mast work good .
I have win10 and puutty and he work good with putty.
