Problem when changing IP from manual to DHCP

I have found on several boxes that if you change from a hard set IP address to DHCP it´s not working. When opening adapter settings, no ip address, running network test, IP address not verified. Restart of network do not help. Restart of router do not help. But if I reinstall image and set DHCP - no problem... Applies to both Solo and Duo. How to reset network setting completly??
