Problem with VU+ Uno On Images' Installation

Hello there guys,

I have a problem with my VU+ Uno box.

Well I wrote an e-mail to the support of vuplus.com, and I will post it here so you can understand my problem and don't make me write again the whole thing :p

First of all, I want to apologise for any mistakes that I may make in this text as I am not British.

I have the VU+ Uno bought from a local dealer (here in //my_country).

Well, I face some problems lately. I can not install the latest Image (v6.0) that you released. :/

I follow the instructions excaclty as written.

I have also updated the firmware to the latest that excists right now.

So, I should get into the point:

1) I install the Image by pressing CH- when the box starts.
2) I wait for the installation to finish.
3) I remove the USB Flash Stick. (as the screen says)
4) I turn off the box from the I/O switch on the back panel.
5) I turn back on the box from the I/O back panel.
6) And here is the problem. I see the logo of the Image of Vuuno and the front panel says "Starting..". Then the front panel says "Starting" without ".." and the logo remains the same. I wait about 2-3minutes ( I didn't count them) and the box will never start up. After those minutes The logo goes away and there "Starting.." shows up again as well as the logo.


I didn't tried to let it like this doing this loop over and over again. I just installed the version 5.10 again. And that version installs and works well.


I also get the same error (this annoying loop of the logo and "Starting.."->"Starting") to an other Image as well. It's called Black Hole Image. I tried the original v6.0 firstly, and then I tried Black Hole Image to see if that is happening to other Images as well... And there it is. Happening there too. Although, In ViX v2.2.1 there are no problems. ""


All in all, I cannot install blackhole v1.6.6 and official image v6.0 whilst I can install the VIX v2.2.1 and the official image v5.10
 
Well, I tried with FPGA Upgrade too. But the problem remains...

What do you think is going on? Is there any chance that problems excist in hardware?
 
From what I can see you are doing everything OK, can you try again and make sure you unplug everything except the power cable so no other USB device, HDD etc.
Let us know how you get on.
 
I have only connected Ethernet cable HDMI cable, power cable and ofc DVB cable.

I haven't connected anything else...


Btw I installed Black Hole Image v1.6.5 just a few minutes ago... This is working quite well. But the v1.6.6....... doesn't even want to boot :P
 
I will try downloading again, but what are the chances of BH being corrupted along with Original v6.0? Cause I find this problem with Original Image V6.0 too...

hmm good point, I just can't see it being a hardware issue if other images load and work OK.
Have you got another USB you could format and use ?
 
Ok I will try using another. To be honest the USB i used so far is a bit old, 128MB but it can transfer files quite good x)
