Probleme Time Shift Image 1.7.6

I have a similar problem where you can't rewind it shows a black screen. Very buggy which I hope someone can help me resolve.
 
No problem for me...

I use a powered external disk connected with esata.

May be your problem comes from your disk ?

Of course, if you rewind with high speed, then no picture isdisplayed, but still works ;)
