I need help! I have external hdd WD My Passport in NTFS format with Windows backup archive. I want to use it for recording too on my UNO with BH 2.0.1
I can record SD shows without a problem, but with HD shows i have problems (freezes and glitches)
I don't know if its relevant, but i can record although in Devices Manager is displayed information -Mount: Not Mapped
Could i run HD recordings smoothly or not?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You should map your HDD to /media/hdd to avoid problems ... I think NTFS is not the ideal partition format to make HD recordings because it's performances are noth enough .... but it's a my idea.... I use only linux formatted HDDs on my boxes and all works correctly.

Use some partition manager to create an ext3 partition on free space of your HDD.

Thank you guys for your answers!

I would like to try with two partitions - NTFS and ext3.
Is it possible to initialize HDD without losing data on NTFS partition?
