Replacing the VU + Duo Power Supply Unit

hi lads I realy need help my vu+duo went dead one day and just been sitting there so I brought a new power board as the box was dead no red light no power at all, Anyway put new board in and its still dead, Could it be the switch at the back, How would I bypass the switch just to test theres 4 wire 2 red 2 black, I tuck them off to check but forgot witch way they go back on, I should have taken a photo. Help please
