Vu+ Newbie
Hi friends,

Well, the day has come. My brand new VU+duo has arrived and it looks lovely, picture is great. It seems however I have two problems :

1. I have tried, in vain , to install BH , following the instructions , on here ( and elsewhere ) . I have tried with 3 different flash drives all of which are 'seen' by the VU+ but after every re-boot we remain with VIX Virtuosso Image Extreme and I was dearly hoping for BH. I am sure it is probably something silly I have done or not done but I really want to avoid f***ing thing up.

2. Though I can connect with my PC I have been unable to install mgcam ( or cc cam) on my lovely new box though all 'appears ' correct on filezilla , no cams appear on the box at all and no option to set the cam as default therefore.

Apologies if I have not been clear in my summation , I am very much at the learning stage and am feeling somewhat out of my depth here. I know from reading your threads this box is awesome, I would just like a little assistance to get started. Please be gentle with me!!:help:

I have finally installed BH after much heartache and failure , the answer was simply re-format your flash drive before you start. I had assumed that since the drive was empty and already formatted to FAT32 that would be good enough WRONG,WRONG,WRONG!!! I hope that my foolishness prevents someone else from the pain that I've been through!
 
Yeah that's the first rule.
Regardless of whether or not previously formatted
Always the first step format USB stick.
