Samsung universal IR extender problem

Vu+ Newbie
I am using HDMI-cec /anynet on my samsung serie6 tv with my VU+ solo1, it works reasonable, but i would like to utilize samsungs "universal remote", with the supplied IR repeater.

During setup i am presented with a long list of manufactors of STBs (triax, denver etc), but not VU+
I tried chosing dream multimedia,as it seemed closest, but it didnt work.

Does anyne know if vu+ devices are remote compatible with any other device, or it needs to be submitted to Samsung, so it can be included in future firmwares?

Vu+ IR commands are proprietary and moreover can hardly be correctly learned as they use the toggle (or parity) bit.
To reliably work they need to be factory preprogrammed also in the universal remotes.

Marusys isnt on list of manufactors unfortunately . I will try tomorrow and change regional settings on tv, it seems like the list of options is somehow localized, i see serveral devices that are named by regional providers, maybe list changes with region settings.

I tried change language, but my TV only had option for 4 scandinavian countries. The change did infact affect list of available devices, but it didnt reveal any compatible devices. It was worth the try, i will stick with CEC which does the job most of the time. Thanks for replies.
