i know its a brand new rec,and im in effect , near enough a beta tester so im not too worried as i guess the roughspots will be ironed out , but have an issue with scanning sats,,,im using latest blackhole image and have installed a sat.xml file ,trying to scan some sats 23.5e and 10e for example receiver seems to just start to hang after 20 mins or so and the spinner comes on screen and i have to reboot,i know theres alot of feed tp's on 10e and it might be causing an issue ,ive just scanned 23.3 its got to 83% and found 299 services and the spinners now come up and ive left it for 15 mins to see if it comes back but does seem to have locked up

The problem can be the satellites.xml file you have replaced.
Try with fresh BH installation or update satellites.xml file.

yea thanks thats a temporary solution although i dont like channels list and only want the channels on my system that my dish can pick up hopefully driver update will sort it

It is not temporary solution... If you do not create any favourite list, you will have in main list ALL the channels present on your satellite(s), and that in few seconds compared to loooong minutes if you scan several satellites !

@artorius i used satellites.xml.eu

niglou ,,yes !!!!! for me its a temporary solution i make my own favourite bouquets from the channels i have scanned and then i know my 90cm fibo dish can receive them, whats the point in having channels from say 7west or 26e or any number of sats imported onto my solo2 when i will never be able to receive them ,i scan all the sats in my arc make my bouquets afterwards

I think there is a misunderstanding....
With dreamset you will import only the sat(s) you have chosen.
You will get the very latest frequencies
You will have the latest sat.xml

All that with few clicks, and within few seconds.
Now if you prefer spend your time scanning one or several sats, after manually downloading then transfering the sat.xml file to your vuplus,..... that's just your choice :)

mate theres no confusion or misunderstanding on my part i cannot make any clearer ,,example 7west in uk ,i can get maybe 100 channels vertical,but the channels on horizontal polarity i have not got a hope in hell without a 3 meter dish ,so i download a channel list like you say and it puts every single channel from that sat onto my receiver whats the point in that i cant receive most of them ???
the way ive always done it on my DB800 is just keep updating the sat.xml file every few weeks and rescan
thanks for your input each to there own methods i guess

@artorius thanks artorius i will try it ,but the weather has killed my LNB on my main dish and im using my sky uk dish as a fixed set up at the moment

just an update ive installed latest drivers (Changelog 20130110) and seems to have cured the problem seems to be scanning a hell of a lot quicker as well
