Vu+ Newbie
Hi,
Please could someone give me some advice as to what service / satellite etc settings I should use on my DUO.
I live in Spain and the DUO is hopefully a replacement for my SKY box used for FTA channels.
I seem to not be able to pick up the standard BBC, ITV. Channel 4 FTA channels.
The dish is 2m octo LNB pointing at default Sky Satellite.
Just getting more and more bogged down.
Thanks in adavnce for any help.
Kind regards,
jB

configuration: simple
mode: single
satellite: eutelsat28/astra (28 east) - however that depends from your list/satellites.xml file - but position 28e should be selected
diseqc: no

and automatic service scan should give you all channels from position 28E

Which part of Spain do you live in ? Your location info. could be helpful to give more advise.
FTA signal on Satellite Astra2 (28E) has been changing to Astra2F and you may need other solution depending on your location.
And more importatnt thing is even the VU+ DUO is long time popular item for UK people but there are no more original 'VU+ DUO' is available in Spain since November last year.
Manufacturer does not producing anymore and so we can't import more.
There are some shops selling SOLO & DUO clones so you need to be careful.

attached astra2F reception details for your location - recommended dish size is 85cm, yours is 2m so it's not issue.
I think you are getting only one band and one polarisation from your LNB that's why there is no BBC and other channels -this was a reason why I asked about your tuner configuration.
Have you tried to update your satellites.xml mentioned above or load any fresh list from the feeds?

Darian23 is correct. Your location will not have dish problem with 2m one. You'd better check tuner configuration. Not only horizontal but also Vertical.

Thank you oh great ones...
I now have 2 Duo's happily delivering all the FTA my brain can handle.
Much appreciated.
Kind regards,
jB
