Signal Problem when box comes out of standby (Vu Uno)

Hi there

I wonder if anyone else has has this problem with their Vuo Uno.

I am using the latest BH 1.6.6 and I have done the FPGA update.

When my box comes out of standby after being left for a few hours I get no signal when I try to display a channel on the screen which was previously fine before the box was on standby.

If I reset my box (GUI restart) the channel comes back no problem but this causes a big problem as I can't use timer record.

I also get this problem when I use the media player for a period of time and then go back to watching a satellite channel.

My LNB and cable are fine as it's okay on another satellite box that I have.

Anyone have any ideas what is happenning ?

Thanks:)

I use the Uno as my main box and it is left in standby all day everyday, I have not had this problem. Did you have the problem before the FPGA update or only after ?

Installed the FPGA update straight away as I knew that if I didn't I wouldn't be able to scan all the satellites.

Which means that I can't really comment on what it was like before.

Just one question. Does the FPGA update only have to be installed once ? So for example if I change image I don't have to install if again ?

It just seems odd that it loses the lnb signal after it's been in standby.

I've had this problem with the VIX image and the BlackHole image so I'm guessing it's nothing to do with the images.

I agree, it is not an image problem.
You could remove the top and just make sure your tuner is fitted securely but other than that if you are sure your cable and everything else is OK I would contact your supplier.

I just phoned them and they said no worries we can swap the box over for you, just seems weird that it loses the signal after it comes out of standby mode.

Very strange.

Black Hole 1.66, I have never used anything but Black Hole images on the Uno :D

Remember that all our images are based on the official release only unlike some image teams.

After further examing of this I think it's something to do with the Uno interacting with the external hard drive that I have.

Does anyone else have their Uno connected to an external hard drive ( mine is a Seagate 1TB) with an e-sata connection ?

If so could you please tell me if you have played with the settings at all to make it work ? (e.g. the setting that detemines the length time before the external HDD goes to standby after being used ?)

Thanks
