Solo 2 stuck on starting gui

Hello all, my solo 2 is stuck on black hole screen and not starting, it is not a clone , and run fine for years. And won't let me flash new image thanks for any help.
 
Try a different USB stick.
Have you tried pressing the menu button, when on the start up screen?
Please provide more details, regarding flashing your receiver.
 
Hello mick, menu button did not work, flashing it with a toshiba usb ,which has worked before,also tried another make with no luck. Put open blackhole 4.2 and black hole 3.6
 
I assume it did start the flashing procedure otherwise you would still have the other image loaded.
Do you get this happen?
Try a different USB port, at the rear, if you have one.
 
Hi mick, the box was being used normally to watch tv, but my brother unplugged it by mistake, I plugged it back in , and then just got the black hole starting, did try the rear USB but did not work.
 
Unplugging it shouldn't be a problem, but when plugging it back in you might have caused a power surge.
Try turning it off, at the rear, disconnecting everything, including the co-ax cables, and try booting up with just the HDMI cable connected.
Have you tried accessing the receiver from your PC, using Openwebif, or the DCC, Dreambox Control Centre?
