solo help

Hi i hope somebody can help
I have a solo and it has vix 2.5 image installed but it does not seem to be working very well as all the menues are to the side of the screen so i can see what menu to go on to try and move then also it seems very dull and the it wont let me download any channel settings or plugins. i have tried to put vix 3.0 as recommended by a member but the recever does not seem to want to know when i try to flash it,when i press the reset button it only seems to go off for a second or two and is back on the green light? it seems to be trying to read the usb as it is flashing on the usb for about 20 secs,i have done like the info says ie formatted the usb to fat 32 added the vuplus +solo files and added the new files to the solo file,but no joy? any help would be great thanks in advance jonnymac....

i have done everything that is posted on here and now its just a blank screen with the green led on..
is there a recovery tool...

There is no Vix 2.5...may be you had a lower grade image!

Hi sorry it was 2.3 not 2.5, but i dont seem to be able to load any other image on the box apart from 2.3 again very strange any advice would be great thanks

Upgrade first the CFE of your Solo box, then flash the image you want.

Hi angleofsky1980 You say upgrade CFE does that mean the bootloader if so i have loaded the new bootloader with the new images i have tried?

CFE = bootloader.
To boot the box with newest images (kernel 3.1.1) you MUST upgrade your box CFE with the latest released for your box.

DON'T TRY TO UPGRADE SOLO BOX WITH DUO CFE! YOU WILL BRICK YOUR BOX!

Hi me again the box seems not to want to load the latest cfe,but it will take the older cfe so looks like I am stuck on older images for now,thanks for your help

Then my guess is you have a clone.
