Somebody know how to set up one External HD which several VU+ boxes can record to ?

Vu+ Newbie
Hello. Is there anybody who has set up a external HD in your network, and done recordings to this from several VU+ boxes around the house ? This means f.ex., that the recordings made from the VU+ in bedroom, can be easely watched in the living room. This would be a nice feature if you have a lot of tv's and boxes in the house. It is a problem when recording to internal HD in the different boxes, that you can't see the recordings on other places in the house.

I would also be very interested in this, as I have a couple of 3 tuner ultimos and don't really want to put a Disc in both of them, unless there is any advantage of doing so?

You have to use a nas.
Use mount manager on each box to connect to the nas.
Change the default recording folder to point to the nas.
Works very well.

So we wrote about it.

There are many opportunities
one that works and is not expensive that I use
is MyBookLive network HDD from Western Digital.

You can record and play from MyBookLive network HDD on boxis and PCs with players supporting ts files ,you can mount with Network Manager.

Before Mount you have to make movie subfolder in Public folder from MyBookLive.
