Stored satellite position (diseqc 1.2)

Hi,
I have already written in the Italian section, but probably I could receive more help in the international thread :) .
I use an actuator with positioner and everytime I update/reflash the image, I have to insert again (in tuner configuration) the stored satellite position of each satellite.
I would like to know in which file the data are stored. Is it possible to upload that file in the new images (or at least in the same image) instead of insert the position manually each time?
Thank you.

The data is stored in the settings file, located in /etc/enigma2

You can not just send this file over on it's own everytime, as the other data stored in this file, could cause problems.

However you can open this file, in a text editor, and copy and paste the tuner info.

It is listed a nims0, nims1 and so on.

In order to copy it into the new file on your box (after image update), you need to use telnet to pause your box, so you need to login and then use the command "init 4" (without the ")

Then edit the settings file (making sure you copy and paste exactly as it is in the original file), and then save.

Back in telnet enter "init 3" (without the ") and your box will restart and will have your sat positions saved.

it doesn't take much to re-input the data, if using something like a V-Box II.
You just go into the menu, select System Searching, Tuner Configuration, and the Advanced option. You then select the relevant satellite, like Astra 1, 19.2E, select LNB 1, than scroll down set it to Diseqc 1.2, select no for using Usals, and set the position, that matches your V-Box II, like 001.
You then do the same for your other satellites, e.g. 16E, position 002, 13E, position 003, providing you have kept a list, of the stored positions, on your V-Box II it takes about 1 minute, and you only have to do this when the Black hole version doesn't want you to use your backup, as all this, channels, and personal preferences, are stored on your backup.

It looks as if we have to work for the computer, Computers are supposed to do the work for us. When you have almost 30 satellites to re program after each update it is no joke, so I understand "Another's" comments . Mick12334 you may have time on your hands but if you are here there and everywhere time is important. As it is it appears this is the only way.
I used to write software in windows format and would make my pc do the work. Linux ?????
