I facing a strange problem with the last BH 2.0.8
At installation I have set my network to DHCP mode and all is working fine.
To avoid to check my ip each time I want to access my vu Duo I have now set it up to static IP using the interface.
All looks OK for a couple of hours but after putting my STB in standby and waking it up next morning I cannot access it using the static IP address.
I check in my router and noticed that my duo had received a new dynamic address from my router DHCP server.
IF I check my setting all is OK in the GUI interface ( setting are static).
I can fully access my duo using the dynamic address and if I check the file /etc/network/interfaces all seems to be configure for a static environment.
Any idea to help me
Thanks for the help

If your router can create reservations for DHCP I suggest to use them.
A DHCP Reservation is a staic IP address assigned by DHCP. To setup a reservation you must specify the mac-address of your box network card and the corresponding IP you want to assign to your box.
1/ your proposal does not work for me because when a power cut occur I lose my static distribution on my router.
2/ In fact I have just update in univers AVALON and not in my native install which was still configure in dhcp mode
I do not know ( understand why a request to my dhcp server receive a request from my duo when in standby in avalon but it was the case.
When I adjust settings and remove dhcp in my natve system all works fine.
I had the exact same issue with BH 2.0.7.1.
In Avalon universe I have DHCP off and a static ip assigned. I couldn't ftp to the box or ping it.
So I browsed to the router and noticed that dhcp was assigned to the box.
Jumped back into blackhole universe and dhcp was enabled.
