Streaming to PC

Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere, I have looked :)

Just updated my Solo 2's to 2.0.7 and the quality of the streaming to my PC is horrible.

I have tried VLC (latest version) and MPC, both have same results.

I haven't changed any setting in VLC since the upgrade to 2.07 or is it this release that isn't working properly yet?
 
think there is a setting somewhere to alter the bit rate,is it in the transcoding plugin setup,just a thought im no expert
 
Yeh, found that, but that is for transcoding, as in 3g I think. Changed those setting to the max I can put, still the same crappy picture quality.

All I've done is upgrade to 2.0.7, router, PC are the same :(
 
I stream local to a machine running xbmc with pvr addon activated, perfect quality and even epg. It may take a bit longer to set up, but is much better than vlc (which is good for anything else)
